Its the back lite one inside that reads the outside temperature. Its 50 degrees outside and reading 90+ degrees.

It didn't stop working, its just not displaying the right data.     Find the sensor and see if something hot (like oil, coolant, tranny fluid) is dripping on it.   Post the vehicle specs and you might even get better answers.

02 toyota corolla. I will look and see if I can find the sensor.
