I have an 04 Mazda 3 and recently the transmission has been giving me problems.  I pulled two error codes off the computer.

P0751 Shift Solenoid A Performance or Stuck Off
P0762 Shift Solenoid C Stuck On

Is there a way to service / replace the shift solenoids without rebuilding the transmission or having to buy a new one.

They can both be replaced, but I believe you have to pull the pan and perhaps part of the body as well.

You don't need to buy a new transmission - but the labor could be costly.  Give it run up to the local AAMCO for a quote.
