| Come on it has been a while since Buell used a real motorcycle motor. Give Eric a couple more trys I bet he comes up with something that looks good. My smart ass moment aside. I really wanted to like the 1125 R and when I saw those scoops I lost all hope of like the looks. Maybe if I ride one? |

Stopped at the HD dealer today while out riding they have a used 1125 I was eyeballing it pretty hard but just bought a new bike a month ago need to get a weekend off and head out there as they only do test rides on weekends Black ones look nice that red one in the OP is fugly |
Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder. I like it. I'd almost ride it if I can find a set of knobbies for it, and more ground clearance

It's weird, but I dig it. Full-power motor is nice, as an added bonus they've geared it 8% lower on the final drive, making for much shorter gearing. At under $12k, it's a relative bargain for a high-powered, American-assembled sporting motorcycle. The new bars are pretty trick-looking, too. I don't see what the big deal with the air scoops seems to be. They're just radiator scoops. As an added bonus, they're apparently strong enough to keep the frame (and radiators!) from getting damaged in a slide or drop. Kinda goofy-looking, but at least has purpose. Definitely more interesting than most cycles out there. |
Dude, you must have been high when you made this post! Anyways, I was wondering, what are the pros and cons of those type of brakes? It would increase the rotational inertia of the front wheel, which is a bad thing, but I would think braking power would be significantly increased, since angular acceleration is directly proportional to applied torque. At the same time, they're obviously not ideal or they'd be on Jap bikes. |
