ack!!!

Ok, maybe it didn't explode,  I was installing my new K-member from PA racing:

It hasn't gone too bad, but a bit tricky doing it without an extra set of hands.

I had to grind a couple of bolts and washers, and I think I'm going to grind one of them a bit more:

I still have to button things up (check k-member alignment, install springs and A-arms, etc)  But it went in pretty well, had to torque it over a bit to get it to fit.  I'll finish that up tomorrow

Wow, lots of space in there:

It's in there:

And the big heavy piece of scrap metal:

Any idea on how much weight that saved?

I'm guessing it stiffens up the chassis as well?

Sooooo....turbo....supercharger.....???

C'mon man...now that you totally lightened that front end and added mass amounts of space....it needs to be filled w/ some forced induction goodness.

doh...missed that thread.

Did you put a VT block in there now OP?  So you can handle all the power you want?

BTW...since your username is MachGT...which is it? A mach or a GT w/ a Mach bumper skirt?

It's a GT with a mach 1 hood.

the vortech V2SQ will go back on after I get a new shortblock.

I've got the fuel mods to easily hit 500 rwhp

My new TKO 500 setup is on its way here as well ;)

On other boards I call myself muttstang as it is more of a mix of different parts of several different mustangs
