This is on a 2003 S10-

I am pretty sure I have at least 1 bad motor mount. My question is; Could this cause consistent/random vibrations throughout the entire truck?

Thanks

Pay a Chevrolet factory-trained technician an hour's labor to diagnose your concern.  It would be silly to replace a motor mount if what you really needed was a crab injector.

wtf is a crab injector?

I guess only Chevy trained techs can diag Chevys

I think he is just picking out some non-existent part to make a point, like 'blinker fluid' or a 'conooter valve'.

I would, but the Chevy dealership around here is sub-par. They don't even like to deal with lifted-trucks (mine).
Two other shops (one including a 4x4 shop) and an Axle/Drive train specialists shop couldn't diagnose/resolve my vibration issues.

The injector on the 4.3 has a center control unit with 6 poppet injectors for each cylinder, I guess you could call it a crab kind of looks like one.

The injector on both 4.3's and 5.7 are real problems, GM warrrenties  them for 200k miles, the updated 'crab' injector has a real injector for each cylinder, also the fuel 'pipes' that feed the injector leak like crazy, when I replace one I replace the 'pipe' kit too, warrenty doesn't cover them.

On a T truck, I've replaced a few motor mounts but not alot. If the dealer is a typical flat-rape shop look for an indepent shop that is an AC delco installer, call them ask if they have a Tech 2  so they can correct diag your truck

Check it out.  Motor mounts are supposed to be fairly commonly needed items on these things if they are used as intended.  Some guys think chaining the engine down is a good idea, but its not something I would do.

I've only had my blazer for 2 months, and have driven it very little so far for various reasons...  Its no Mercedes for sure, but its a damn billy goat off road.  Great range vehicle too.  Set your guns on the tailgate and give those targets hell!

The Whole Story-

The truck has a 5" BDS suspension lift that was installed by Action 4x4 in Fla. Ever since they had their hands on it she has vibrated, and the mount has been bad since they lifted it. It is useless to go back to them, as they are lieing bastards... but that is another story.

I have been through 3 sets of quality tires (thanks to my fathers help), 2 sets of quality wheels, the axles have been disassembled and checked when the gears were installed, the drive-line has been adjusted - the vibration persists.
I like to think I would notice if it was an injector issue, as I have had one before. In addition the vibrations are more side-to-side and up-and-down then back-and-forth like an injector issue. (but you never know)

Others with this lift don't experience this issue.

The mount is bad to the point where it separates about 3" when torque is applied. I am going to replace the left one (at least) this weekend and see where it goes. If the issue turns out to be the 'crab' injector, I shall buy you a beer for being correct from the get go!

Thanks, and I will update!

Now we have the whole story, I'd look at measuring driveshaft runout both front and rear, also take a good look at u joint condition, then check your driveline angles.

One other thing is every bolt from the lift kit tight, real easy to overlook.
