| Is there a resource online to simply look at what the rates of various vehicles are relative to each other? I understand that every driver is going to be unique, but every driver is also going to pay more to insure a Viper than a Stratus. I'm considering several cars and it would be nice to be able to know which one is the cheapest to insure without having to call up my insurance company and run through the list with them. |
The insurance industry uses something called an ISO symbol, and every vehicle has a different symbol, however each company uses a different v ISO Symbol so essentially. 2005 Toyota Corolla State Farm ISO symbol 12 All State Symbol 11 Travelers ISO symbol 12 2005 Ford Mustang SVT State Farm ISO symbol 27 Travelers ISO Symbol 26 All State Symbol 25 Generally speaking most vehicles of the class are going to be within $100 of each other. The only ones to watch out for are the Kias and Hyundai for the class of vehicle they are they rate out really high, (the resale value sucks, and therefore the insurance company will more than likely be totalling the car rather than repairing. I know this is a little more info than what you were asking this is the long answer to your question. There are no places online that I know of to check these.
