| I am considering the Acura TL for my next car. Any owners out there with opinions to share? Would you buy it again and is it living up to your expectations? I will give up my weekend car to get this (2001 Cobra) but it will be more useable overall. Plus, I am tired of all the kids that want to race the Cobra. My current daily driver is a 2000 Tundra 4x4 Limited. |

I was just at a wedding over the weekend and the father of the groom could not shut up about his TL. He loves the damn thing. In fact, everyone I know or have met that has one loves it. It also has an amazing amount of rear seat room for such a small car. If they'd just make it rear wheel drive and make the body a little more interesting I'd be all over it. You might want to wait a bit and check out the new Lexus IS250/350 as possible alternatives. I think overall I'll likely be going for the Infiniti G35 though if I pop for psudo-luxury rice in the near future. |
 at first id say you're crazy to give up your Cobra for a TL but you said it will be used more all around. one of my friends has a TL and said its the best car she has ever had. plenty fast for you what need and luxurious inside and out(to me), especially the new ones. |

My wife had a 2002 TLs and we both loved it. The car was pretty quick and handled great. The only problem we came across was with the brakes. They required service more than most of the cars we've owned in the past. It's a flaw these cars or maybe it's the drivers because the car is very quick. Check out the AcuraTL forum on the web, it has a ton of info. I'm an Acura guy- I've owned or leased a few over the years 1990 Legend, 1995 Legend, 2002 TLs, 2005' MDX & RL. I find them to be the best value out there. I'm sure you'll find some who may disagree. |
| Not disagreeing, but I too think your crazy to give up your cobra for an acura. I'm a honda/acura lover, but that said, I wouldn't give up my pony car for nothin (more as a project and something fun). That said, you can't go wrong with a honda/acura as far as reliability goes. |
