I've seen complaints from people saying their damage started within days of taking the car home.
They should only be used to put the car on/off a trailer, you should ask the dealer to leave them in the trunk or you should do it yourself before you drive off the lot.

I'd love a hellcat. I can afford one, with no issues. Insurance would suck for a mid 40s guy with a clean record where I live. That, and I don't think I'd be able to keep my foot out of it.

I know it's an option, just haven't seen it. I thought it was weird that people were putting such an expensive option on an RT, when that would get them close to scat pack money.

The 392 cars are supposedly more fun to drive.
Plus you won't have the extra 10K expense if you have to replace the S/C after the warranty is up.

If it is a secondary vehicle that you are not using as a DD, then you can put it on an agreed value policy with Hagerty (Grundy probably offers the same thing).
This is much cheaper than a traditional policy - and it doesn't matter which trim package you have (IE: A new scat or a used hellcat with the same agreed value cost exactly the same) - but you must have a DD on a regular policy (IE: Allstate) at the same time.

They actually made it functional with tubing that goes back to the airbox - although you don't really get any gains from it.

I don't understand why anyone buys a loaded RT/RT Plus.
Even if you're taking one out of existing dealer inventory, there's not much room between invoice & MSRP for them to knock off unless they're screwing you on financing or trade in (and your $10/HP rebate is $3,750 instead of $4,850 by choosing the 5.7 over the 6.4).
It only makes sense if you must have a V8 & you're buying one completely stripped for $32K net (minus maybe a little bit that you can get the dealer to knock off).
If you want to go as cheap as possible you can get a stripped V6 for $25K net.

That's why I'm looking at doing a factory order.
Every car my local dealer is ordering has the $995 SRT spoiler added - I'm not paying for that over the standard spoiler.

This is what I'm looking at in a 2021 model (price is MSRP after the $4,850 rebate; suspension price is included in 1320 package; automatic option removes the $1K gas guzzler tax so it only really costs $595), but I haven't chosen a final color yet (they discontinued the best colors in 2019);

Modding the V6 is stupid - it would be cheaper to just buy an RT, your V6 won't perform any better by adding the RIPP supercharger & other nonsense.
Modding an RT works, but voids your warranty (mods on any of them actually void your warranty).
Scat Pack cars are pretty much optimized from the factory, there's not much to be gained.

It actually shouldn't void the warranty - it doesn't require unlocking the PCM & if it's done right it doesn't throw any codes.

Hellraisin is ok, but it's not PCP. I saw a Frostbite Charger widebody the other day and thought it looked pretty good.

I'm going back & forth between Hellraisin, Indigo Blue, Black, F8 Green & Frostbite.
I almost bought a Frostbite 1320 from a dealer in NC a couple of months ago but it didn't work out.

The colors I really wanted were either Sublime or Plum Crazy.

I would have loved Frostbite, but didn't know how long power dollars were going to last. Had I known it would have lasted as long as it did, I would have ordered, instead of buying off the lot.

V6 cars are about 400# lighter than a Scat.
V6 AWD cars are only about 200# lighter.
They are not designed to handle a lot of extra HP.

If you order the 1320, with leather, do the $1 addon passenger and back seats match, or are the base cloth?

I do like it because it pops, but my last 5 or 6 vehicles all ended up being blue.
They have one in transit to my local dealer so I'm waiting for it to show up so I can see it up close.

I also checked out the Octane red one that they have but ultimately decided against it.

1320 give you drivers seat only - you get a choice between Nappa or Houndstooth cloth.
You get cloth passenger & rear seats for $1 each - this option changes your drivers seat back to Houndstooth.

If you want the Nappa Alcantara suede you have to order the 1320 plus package for an additional $1795.
And if you order it you can only get it in black - it will not allow you to option a 1320 with the red or yellow seat inserts.

Honestly the basic Houndstooth cloth is fine - it's looks nicer in person than in pictures.

My dad was looking at a "getting out of the hospital/didn't die" car.  He's had multiple muscle cars over the years, including an original shelby cobra in the 80s. He also had a 73 dodge charge in a metallic blue that he really loved.  He was still i. Recover and sent me to look at an ss camaro and challenger wide body.  Both were blue, but I really liked the look of the wide body better.  He ultimately went with the camaro, but that challenger was sweet..

Have never seen a painted splitter on a Challenger. What I mean is that dust and dirt get trapped between the splitter and the shipping guard. Vibration allows the dust, dirt, etc... to move around and cause damage to the splitter.

Go to the 7 minute mark in this video. He had them on for 9 months and his splitter is scratched.

Yellow Shipping Guards! Did they really damage the splitter on my 2018 Challenger SCAT Pack?

When did I say to take it off? When was I not relaxed?

I merely said you had a banana on your splitter.

Then I replied to your post saying your splitter was not painted with the video.

That was all.

I just (kinda lost) to a redeye challenger. I think it was at least. It had the Hellcat logo and it was a silver wide body. Anyway, he turned onto a long empty road and I was on him prior to the turn. He punched it and I had to play catch up. While he was spinning I was able to get up to his rear quarter panel and thought I could reel him in. Hard no. It stayed that way until triple digits. Now I need a bigger turbo

Very subtle tell if it's a redeye.
