GF's 2012 Mustang (V6, not GT) has been a fairly good car so far, 70k miles. Transmission randomly began to slip some and blend door was clicking, so she took it in before her warranty was up. Replaced blend door and transmission pump.
Fast forward to this week: the car will go into Park, Neutral, and Reverse. It will manually shift into 3rd, 2nd, and 1st and drive forward. If you bypass Drive and go to one of the lower gears on the shifter and then go back to drive, it seems to go into gear sometimes. There is no catch, it clicks like it should be in Drive but if you give it gas it just acts like its in neutral. No codes are thrown. What does the hive think? |

how long ago and miles was the work done?
it could be as simple as a linkage wasn't tighted down. or the collar loosened up on the shift selector. So going past and coming back up puts it in gear vs trying to just go to it leaves it in neutral. if you are within the year and 12k miles, you might have them fix it based on the other work they did. |

We're within the month and probably 1,000 miles of the work I was debating on it being some linkage. I took the bezel off to see if it was anything obvious but couldn't see anything. It almost seems like there is linkage for going from park-down and another for 1-up and the first is loose or something |
