I have KC Lights that I want to wire up and mount to the brush guard on my 00 F250 Lariat V10. Does anyone know of any places to wire it up so that I don't have to connect it directly to my battery?

Hooking directly to the battery is the best, least half-assed way to go about it. What I recommend (this is also what I did with my 02 F150, my 04 Trailblazer, 99 XJ with an LED bar) requires a relay, switch (LED rockers are what I use), T-tap, fuses (10A for 55W lights, 20A for 110W lights), appropriate fuse holders , and 10 ga. wire. Wire the primary power to the relay to the battery, the output to the lights, trigger from the switch, ground to ground. I pull switch input off the high beam wire (KC's come on with the high beams as long as the switch is on). |
