Having tough time tuning a Holley 670 Avenger, on mild 383 SBC.
Secondaries are happy, dialed in smooth, fast at full throttle.

Having a bitch with light throttle steady cruise vs part throttle acceleration.

If i jet lean enough primary to cruise nice, it shudders and misses at 20 to 30 percent throttle.

If go rich enough to run light accel, 25 percent throttle, it goes stinking pig rich at cruise.

Very frustrated.

Have O2 sensor, and multimeter, not enough resolution to tell me anything.

Which Lambda meter setup do I want ?

Innovate  or AEM ?

I vote AEM for two reasons. First is they use a better O2 sensor the LSU4.9 and also it doesn't need to be free air calibrated. Put it in and leave it in.

Innovative use the LSU 4.9 now also.  I've had good luck with innovative units.

You need to change the air bleeds in the top of the carb also, not just the main jets. Changing the main jet does nothing for the idle and cruise circuits.

You see no calibration as a asset, I see it as a liability.  Different strokes I guess.

I've run an AEM in my daily since 2010, bought it used and only replaced the sensor once when I was doing major work anyways. It matched the dyno I was on as well. I had an Innovate and it died on me within a week. The AEM was also much simpler to wire up. YMMV
