@D_J

You got an instagram?   Want some FPV drone chase footage?   One of the better FPV drone pilots in the world is Georgia based and a 911 GT3 owner.   Hit me up in DM and I can get you in touch and tell him to be on look out.

2022 Acura MDX Type S Advance, have had it almost 5 months now, just over 5k miles and really enjoying it. It's not terribly hard to get in and out of, fits in the garage with room to spare, and has lots of features that make it very nice for long trips.

Did a 9yr ceramic over full front PPF, along with the rockers and had the windows tinted more.

Waited 8 months to get it. Just went over 1000 miles. Made first payment on Saturday.

A co-worker was running late, speeding, blew the light and hit me. No injuries. His shift starts at 10pm, he hit me at 956pm. Relieved it was a coworker and not some border banger or a noninsured Mexican.

El Paso PD and both insurance companies put him at fault...now the wait game starts. If this is fixed within the year, I will be surprised.

I got a text message when I grabbed my phone to start making calls.. "Stabilitrac system requires service"

Those are very nice. Looked at those as an option for my wife. The pricing between the models/ trim packages were modest, then they really jump

That sucks. I've read where people are waiting 6+ months for parts to get repairs completed.

I like it. It is a bit on the small side compared to the 2012 Tundra CrewMax I had previously but it is lots easier to get in and out of, easier to park, and much better fuel economy.

The sound system in this car is bonkers. 25 speakers, 1000 watts, and plays lossless/FLAC files off USB.

Adaptive air ride suspension, heated/cooled and massaging front seats and more.

Thank you! Interlagos over carbon black interior NO NAV. Haha I always emphasize that because that shit nav system that takes up the dash of most of the rest of the M coupes shows how just 15 years down the road old tech doesn't age well. The no nav cars have an edge in value now.

Took 3 cars to a local car show today. Nice attendance but got rained out about half way through the show.

I only took hardtops today, just in case that did happen. Figures that the electric windows crapped out in the Trans Am. Got them mostly closed before it blew a fuse or something.

1977 Trans Am, 1967 427 Corvette and a 2006 Viper Coupe.

This ratty old thing showed up as well. Not mine and not the 76 Corvette.

Thanks. That McClarren S600 was pretty wild, not my thing but I appreciate it either way. Weird color choices on it. You can see the baby blue exterior but the interior was orange. It didn’t sound that hot when he took off, kind of ricer-ish.

Don't feel too bad about letting road salt get to this heap.  It's got a built TDI with a big turbo and lots of fuel.  Pretty pointless car:  traction-limited below 50 MPH, aerodynamics-limited above 90 MPH.

Looks cool on top of Pike's Peak in the less blurry version of that photo, I promise.

Yeah, it's not bad.  Kinda want to swap that spicy TDI into an MR2 Spyder.  It would really be a hoot if it drove from the correct end, not to mention the Toyota is about 700 lbs (25%!) lighter.

I’m sure you’re correct, I just going by the number on the side of the little fairing behind the front wheel. Probably misread it.

@ColinDoyle

I like that a lot.

Did you tube the rear bumper as well? And why box instead of tube for the rockers?

Thanks.  The rear bumper is also tube, with a tire swing-out and 2 inch receiver hitch.  I got a fifth OZ wheel and cut the spare tire well out of the floor to make room for center-exit exhaust (which I never really got around to building.)

The rockers were dented and rusted out, so I trimmed a piece of .120-wall 3x5 rectangle to replace the sheet metal skin.  They're coated with UPOL raptor and lined with a ton of 3M cavity wax.  Nice to have a full-length jacking point, if need be.

This thing has been my daily driver for about eight years now, but I did all the modification in the first year or two.  It all started because the plastic end-tank on the stock side-mount intercooler had a crack in it.  I had an aluminum intercooler left over from a previous project but couldn't fit it behind the stock plastic bumper cover, so I built the front tube bumper and skidplate.  It snowballed from there, as I found more shortcomings and fixed them.

Pretty useful car now.  Sits most of the summer, as I ride motorcycle and drive my Cabrio and F-650 until MNDOT salts the roads.  I use it occasionally as a dinghy when I run a box truck to the dealer for service, because I welded tow bar brackets to the Beetle's front bumper.  Pictured below behind an MRAP.

It's cool, I have a doubles/triples endorsement on my CDL

The engine is a 1.9L ALH (99-03 TDI) with ceramic-coated BRM (05.5-06.5 TDI) pistons [they have an oil cooling passage beneath the crown and bowl, which aligns with the squirters], H-beam Molnar con rods, balanced rotating assembly, ARP rod bolts and head studs, class 12.9 socket-head cap screws on the main bearing caps, ported cylinder head, Colt 'stage 3' cam, 11mm injection pump, .280 injector nozzles, in-tank lift pump, custom big plenum intake and tubular stainless exhaust manifolds, GTB2260 turbo... I rebuilt the trans, cryo treated everything, installed a Wavetrac LSD, pinion brace, Dieselgeek shifter, G60/VR6 clutch on a single mass flywheel, etc.  Probably forgetting stuff.

The block is painted General Motors 'Ladies and Magenta Man' basecoat/clearcoat, because you can't drive a VW Beetle if you take yourself too seriously.

It's probably one of the most heavily modified cars in this thread, but still one of the slowest, and certainly the one with the lowest KBB value.  Hah!
