I can't decide if I am impressed or not.  It would be more impressive if they would be finding the limits of the factory short block...

People that put Wubstep in their Youtube videos need to be exterminated on sight.

Not impressed yet. I've seen 800 RWHP out of a turbocharged pushrod 3.8 in a Supercoupe.

I would be surprised if that were a factory block.  They apparently have serious problems after 450HP or so.   Any links to the build?

I'm in that vid somewhere, I know the builder/owner, and it was a factory block. I've been messing with Supercoupes for a while now, and the block is never a problem. With factory-style head gaskets, they lift heads a lot, but good gaskets solve that problem. The biggest problem in terms of power is a complete lack of aftermarket heads, but there are more than a few of these cars out there over 450 RWHP. Biggest problem for this particular car was half shafts--it was snapping the splined stub axles like candy canes.

That said, the guy who built that car is now building one around a 4.5-liter SVO block and heads (what Ford used in the Busch Grand National series in the early 90s). Same basic engine architecture, just seriously, ridiculously beefed up. That build is here: http://www.sccoa.com/forums/showthread.php?126128-Project-GTFD-%28SVO-V6%29
