I have dreamed of owning one of these cars for over 25 years, even was a member of POCA for awhile and almost bought one in the late  90's.  Still just a wish though.  Do any members here own one or has owned in the past?
I am about to turn 40 and have been think about these cars a lot lately.  I would love to hear about your experiences and see some photos posted.

Just saw a '73 at a car show the other day.
Hadn't seen one in a while, and man, they are lower than I remembered.
Nice looking cars, but I suspect a lot have had engine changes, and getting one mostly original, will be expensive.
Good luck to you finding one.  You only live once.

From what I understand, a common one is a Ford 400 punched & stroked to 434 with a custom ground cam from Tim Meyer.

Jay Leno talks too much. The other guy can barely get a sentence out without being interrupted. Good video, though. I've really liked those cars for a good while now. A few years ago, I saw a totaled one down in Baton Rouge. It was at a car meet and cruise, and it was left behind the next day. I was able to basically crawl all over the car and get pictures. I was told that a teenage girl who was texting at the time pulled out in front of it.

Notice the video didn't show Jay climbing into it? Or should I say "wearing the car"  The one thing I have read is if you are a big guy, don't buy a Pantera. Very tight drivers seat/cockpit.

You Should have bought one back in the 90s, they're not getting any cheaper. Good luck in your search and if you do get one, for the love of God, please post pics / videos.

Amazing pro-tourer here, even if they didn't go with a Ford power plant.

I love those cars.  I learned from an early age its best to avoid supercars with special engines, unless you have a lot of money. the Pantera bi-passed that issue nicely.

I was looking at these maybe 5 years ago? and you could easily pick one up for around $25,000. I see them going for a heck of a lot of money now.

Sorry a little off topic but....

Leno's Pantera is a little lopey at the end of the video. How agressive are the stock cams in those?

I've always loved those cars. Get one if you can.

The Jeep in my avatar is a 1979 Wagoneer with an early Gladiator truck grill.  The one i am working on currantly is a 1979 Cherokee that I have put a 6.2L Detriot diesel into.  I will upload some photos of my jeeps and once I figure out how post them on here to share.  I should probably do a write up on the jeeps and armored scout cars I have been restoring the last few years.  Probably when I am back on a graveyard shift and have time to do so.
What do most people do, use a photo hosting service like photobucket then link it onto their posting?

I usually use imgur.com, don't need an account. Upload the picture there, find the link it gives you (should end in .jpg or something), and paste that link here.

Sounds like some awesome projects.

This gentleman does terrific work -soup to nuts- on high-end sports cars.

Pantera expert and fanatic.  Can essentially build one from scratch.

His car is a monster.

I used to want a pantera until I drove one...  The pedals are offset quite a bit and they handle like shit. Drive a 911 SC before you buy a pantera.
