Hey guys, hoping we may have some car audio guys here.

I have an 05 trailblazer and I want to install something like this Head unit My trailbalzer has onstar but no steering wheel controls, I do not use the onstar if that matters.

So my question is can i do this myself?
What wiring harness would i need?
Any tips/tricks/related info would be great!

EDIT: I think i found the harness, Harness

yes the onstar requires you to use a Metra GMOS-01 or similar harness its very easy you will also need a dash kit American international GMK422 is a good one and a antenna adaptor. There are two 7mm's above the gauge cluster must remove the panel below the steering wheel and there are some more 7 mm's under there. then pull the carpeted panel on the bottom of the console it requires a phillps head screwdriver. then there are two more 7 mm's under there I want to say there is one more in the back of a pocket in the dash but I can not remember then the dash just unsnaps lower the column and remove the keys to make it easier to remove the dash. then there are just  four 7mm's holding in the radio.

A huge +1 to this (unless the guy above can come install it all for you).
You'll find items cheaper through Amazon or EBay but Crutchfield, IMO is well worth the extra cost for the install sheets they include plus the wiring harness and install kits. And their tech support is awesome.
I bought a car alarm for a Pathfinder. They sent me the wire diagram for the  Pathfinder. A long time later I decided to put that alarm in a 4Runner so I called their tech support and they gave me all the info I needed for that install.
