It's unlikely anyone saw it on the EE, but I recently offloaded my old car. I daily drove a 1998 Eclipse GSX with plenty of engine mods. It boosted to 20 psi and was fun as hell. All wheel drive and quick in a straight line. Unfortunately, it wasn't family friendly (couldn't fit a car seat in the back easily), and like most tuned cars, it has quirks and fixes that had to be addressed here and there. I found someone that was interested in it, so it was time to go shopping. We just got a new Subaru dealership in town, so I had to stop by. What better than another boosted AWD car? I picked up the only WRX on the lot. I have to say, this car really puts a smile on my face. It's enough of a family car, but still quick. It's not as fast as the Eclipse (at least not in a straight line; I'm betting it's set up for autocross better), but damn it's sporty and fun. I think I'd like to keep this one mostly stock, but we'll see.

Quoted: Goodjob on picking the hatchback(I will give you credit despite no choice), but you don't have a hair on your ass if you don't get up to sti power :p Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile Actually, I wouldn't have snagged it if it wasn't a hatchback. They're just too practical. Any suggestions for first upgrades for a WRX? I was thinking maybe stiffening it up first with some strut tower braces, but everything will come with time.

I love the idea of an STi, but I can't justify spending that kind of money for something of it's nature. Surprisingly, the GSX has made it onto RustedAce's property with no problems. Lowered car on dirt roads, FTW!
I think I've already told 23pistol23 we can do some riding in the WRX. |

| Both cars are awesome. With all of these Subaru threads on here it keeps making me want to pull the trigger on a WRX or STi. The WRX hatch is the best all around fun/practical car you can buy for the money, excellent choice. I can't justify buying one right now because I have 2 cars (1 being the hated neon SRT-4) that are paid off and have no problems. I guess that means I can keep saving for the redesigned STi when it comes out. |

When I changed the insurance over from the GSX to the WRX, there was almost no change. |

I'll probably never buy a sedan type car, I just don't see the point. Same here. Now OP get on NASIOC get you a TBE and Accessport ordered and get fast!!! |
