Ive got a 2011 Scion TC, with the Alpine Head unit, and Id like to improve the audio quality.
Id prefer not to change the head unit if I can avoid it as Id like to keep all the stock functions intact. I'm not looking for anything extreme, just a single sub in the back and some better components. Any car audio experts in here that can give me some advice on where to start? |

I'm not an audio engineer, but I do work for a car company. The head unit has been tuned (filters, equilization etc) to work with your speakers. You might upgrade the speakers and not get as much benefit as you think. Check out Crutchfield, they sell some units that will re-filter the output of the head for you, so you can tweak the sound adn get the most out of new speakers. Sound processors, I think theyre called. Quoted: Ive got a 2011 Scion TC, with the Alpine Head unit, and Id like to improve the audio quality.
