motor cyclist experts I need some help
Santiago Choppers - Breitling NSFW (maybe) I've got an NSFW there as there's a scantilly clad chick in one of the bike pics. The 4th of the 4 pics is the best. I'm trying to figure out what frame that is and the rear swing arm. I know the forks are off a GSXR 11. The frame reminds me of an older Honda I think but I can't find anything like it anywhere - hell maybe it's a custom but I don't know. Any help would be great. Thanks |

Thanks So, he started to build a cafe Racer for himself and could not do it The forks, triple clamps, swingarm, wheels, and hand and foot controls appear to be from a 2007/2008 GSX-R1000without using a Martin frame. After an investigative search in France he was able to locate both George Martin and one of his 70’s frames. For this type of bike and performance he was looking for, Alan chose a Kawasaki Z 1000, a 2007 Suzuki GSRX swingarm, front end and wheels (both 17) |

Judging by the DLC coating on the fork slider, the forks are post-GSX-R-1100 era. Newer GSX-R1000, maybe. The radial-mount brake hub on the bottom of the fork gives it away as a non-1100 unit.
Regardless, the description says the swingarm is a GSX-R unit as well. The're pretty generic-looking, so you'd need a caliper and a good reference guide to be able to tell a GSX-R 600 from a 750 from a 1000 unit. It actually looks like a very recent 600/750 arm... The frame, according to the page description, is a specially-built one. Judging by how the Z1 engine fits snugly into it, it's likely a heavily modified and gusseted Z1 frame. You can see where the shock mounts on the back of the old frame are clipped off, and where a new support for the mono-shock of a GSX-R was weleded in between the rear frame tubes. Actually, there's some moderately nasty-looking welding in there... ETA : Reading is fundamental... I didn't even catch all of the details in the article!
