Added some Ruff Racing 20" rims shod with Falken 452's this weekend.  Now I have to lower it because of the ugly gap between the fender well & tire.  Dealing with the TPMS is a real PITA.
Put on some side louvers, & added the different grille.  Next week the 3.73's are going in  Picked up a Cervini C500 front bumper cover with the Piaa fog lights, just waiting to paint it!!

Don't fear the gear... unless you have an auto I'd go with 4.10's. Thats what I put in mine and I loved it.

I did up a mustang as well...

They are very customizable.  I had 4.10s and would recommend the 3.73's.  The 4.10 were just too short for any regular driving above 60mph.  They were good for around town though...  I also had an aluminum drive shaft, stage III clutch, and a hellion turbo.  If you are going to do any kind of big power upgrades in the future, unless you are riding some huge rubber, you wont get traction.

Looking great. You need to upgrade to 4 wheel huge disc brakes to fill in behind the rims too.

Very nice...Did you sell the car to someone in the Charlotte NC area?  Notice any gains for the $600 drive shaft upgrade?  Since I'm doing the gears might as well install that at the same time.....just wondering if its really worth the cost

Well, I had the turbo and driveshaft installed at the same time...  so I could not give an honest answer.

I did notice I got much better gas mileage, about 2-3 more mpg on highway.

I sold the car to a dentist in KC, KS.

Great mods so far.

Any time you can shave rotational weight (driveshaft/wheels), you're doing good. I'm not sure about your car but, the GT-500's have a heavy 2 piece steel driveshaft that weighs a ton. I'll be changing mine very soon.

My current car came with 3.73's and it's a big difference from the 3.30's I had in my previously owned GT-500. I would recommend 3.73's.

Good luck and let us know what you decided on.
btw, you have the fastest color.

Here's a pic of my car.

+1 on the brakes. Big rims look kinda silly without bit rotors filling out the extra space.

And we can't forget the new 5.0L engine (412HP/390ft-lb)  ............. hide one of those under the hood of an older Mustang ...............

This is the swap I'll be doing when my little pushrod 5.0 gives up. There are several in progress now and aftermarket companies are already involved, so it will be as simple as ordering the crate motor & electronics, a k-member, trans & crossmember, & headers. Of course it's not THAT simple, but it will be good enough for most competent wrenchers and a breeze for anybody with decent fab skills.

I'm getting ready to put 3.73's in my 99 GT (sorry, no pics, my hosting-fu is weak) and I was wondering the same thing. If I can find evidence of significant gains I might swap it later, for now just doing the gears is going to be enough of a PITA.

ETA: All these beautiful Stangs in this thread are making me want to go buy a DSLR just so I can take more pictures of mine! This car is turning out to be an expensive obsession

Foose, be careful though... they weigh a good bit.
