I had the opportunity to drive a Ferrari F430 yesterday for about an hour. HOLY CHRIST!!! is that thing fast. Some say a car that cost more than a house is ridiculous. I say I want to sell my house to buy that car.

The owner just casually tossed me the key and said "be back in an hour and don't hit anything" a couple of quick paddle shifts later and I was at the sound barrier.

Don't you hate when that happens? :)
People can say all they want about spending a lot of money on a sports car, but once they drive one/ride in one they shut their mouth. I myself prefer the older f-cars. Short of hitting the lotto I don't think I could ever justify spending that kind of money on a car even if I could technically afford it. In other words it would have to be money I didn't actually earn myself, lol. Not when a Corvette or something can offer similar/more performance for much less. But second only to maybe a new ZR1 I'd definitely be rushing out to buy a new 458 Italia if I ever did hit the lotto...

My friend's dad got a silver F430 a couple months ago.
He said it is really fast. Sadly he doesn't even now what size engine the car has.
