I have an 01 F150 5.4L 4WD. It started rough shifting going from 1st to 2nd - almost felt like a bad u-joint. Now it will take off in D, but then goes into neutral when shifting. Letting off the throttle, it will then drop back in gear after engine speed drops back to 1700 or so. 50 mph and about 2200 rpm seems to be the limit before it goes into neutral again.
No reverse, but I do have manual first gear. Switching OD on/off doesn't seem to have any effect. Any ideas what it could be? |
