So 2 years ago I received some NQSO's as a bonus at work.  I exercised some of them on 1/9 via a cashless sale.  It's 1/14 and the transactions still show "Pending".  Why does this hang in limbo for so long?  I have never had anything take so long to settle in my private accounts.

That is only 3 business days?     Trading is not open on the weekends.   Lots of firms say expect up to 10 days for transactions to fully process.   Your trades are usually done on the date you confirmed them though.
