| Apple just had record sales and profit. I beleive the stock is at all time high. Do you think the stock still has room to go up? |
| They may have created the realm of mobile computing and media...and will continue to profit from it for some time but I feel there will be some serious competion from other vendors that'll make better cheaper products that will eventually (maybe) lead to their demise. |

Apple is bound to lose their charm sometime in the future.... When? I don't know. I think I own about 15 shares of it in a fund. They lose it and gain it repeatedly over the years. 2011 will certainly not be as rosy as 2010 was unless they get serious about "fighting back" against android. |

I think they will see a nice increase in income at least through 2011. Remember, they just opened up a huge new potential customer base by offering the iPhone on Verizon's network, plus this will be the first full year of iPad sales. Not to mention Mac computers keep gaining in market share. |

I do own a few shares of Apple, and have been happy with the gains. However, I worry about Apple's overall market cap. From a capitalization standpoint, they're as big as Exxon Mobil, which is a massive corporation. Can Apple continue to generate profits that support that valuation? I don't know, but I hope so. I agree that Android is a big threat. But everytime I think Android has a new killer feature that's going to eat Apple's lunch, they pull off something big again. In the spirit of ARFCOM, I also own shares of Google. |

Oh, 2011 will definitely be profitable for them, I just don't think the margin will be as high as 2010. They've basically reached market saturation with the ipods and macs (they are growing, but not "explosively"). I wouldn't have said that about iPhones with VZW in the mix, but the droid phones and their free apps are already putting a big dent in the "what phone do you want next" polls regardless of carrier. If they'd opened up to VZW before the droids really took off, then I'd be expecting big numbers from them this year, but they didn't. The growth rate for macs has dropped significantly from Q4 '10 to Q1 '11. Q3 to Q4 '10 was awesome, but that was mostly due to the bad press from their problems just crushing sales in Q3 and then them "making up for it" in Q4. Year/year numbers by quarter are dropping as well. They're still growing, but they're growing slower. They're also finding that iPad sales are eating into mac sales somewhat. |
