Used to be that we Army guys were the ones running around with all the badges on, CIB, ABN, AAS, now CAB etc. Now with the ACU and pin on only and being not allowed to wear them in theater we are the only ones NOT wearing badges. The Marines all wear pin-ons even under their IBAS. The Navy has introduced all sorts of badges beyond wings, SWO, and dolphins. FMF and whatever the call the things the SeaBees wear. I fell like I live in the alternate badge universe. |
It's kind of funny. It used to be a contest to see how much crap you could sew on your BDU/DCU. You see it in CONUS too. Since the ACU came out, I haven't even bothered with that pin on crap. Where I work only about 1/3 of us even bother to pin stuff on. |
