Nice start to the season.

Sucker Punch

This isn't the first time Legarrette Blount has been in trouble.

I hope this isn't a reflection of the Oregon program and they deal with this cancer accordingly.

I cannot imagine that Blount will get anything less than a 3-4 game suspension.  Personally, I'd have dismissed him from the team and revoked his scholarship before we left Boise.

Both this years and last years games were rather chippy with a lot of jack jawing and smack.

Blount:
""It's definitely getting a lot more intense,"
"Our practices are becoming a lot faster just because of the anticipation of Boise, the fact that everybody wants to get back at Boise from last year when they stole one from us."
"We owe that team an ass-whuppin."
"I don't mind it at all. I'm not going to back down from anybody."

Don't think Bellotti or Kelly will let this stand.

If Blount can keep his temper (doubtful), he can be a work horse for the Ducks this year.  At least Oregon gets Purdue next week to take their frustrations out on before Utah and Cal come to town.

Look, I'm glad that the Bronco's won, but honestly, both teams need to improve their offensive execution........quickly

I think Oregon demonstrated they were waaay overrated, both in terms of football and in terms of class.

If they lose to a mediocre Utah team in a couple of weeks we'll know their ranking was nothing but hype.

Honestly, the Ducks need to execute, or else they will be 1-3 to start October.

I wonder what that will do for his NFL career.

I guess there is always the Raiders...

I was at the game GO BRONCOS and say fuck that guy. As if sucker punching wasn't bad enough he pushes his own team mates and asst coaches and then scuffles with officers and charges at fans. FUCK HIM-with his past issues and now this he should be suspended for the rest of the season!!

Looks like he needs to have an intense meeting with Mr. Nightstick.

Blount has been suspended for the remainder of the season. He can kiss any hopes he had for an NFL career goodbye.

Hey.....let's not forget Cincinnati, where having a criminal record is a prerequisite to joining.

The guy kinda had it coming, taunting the Oregon player like that. But it certainly was a cheapshot. They BOTH should be punished

Blount just ruined his chances of going to the NFL after that stunt. The dude cut his own throat, career wise.

Taunting can get you & I suspended-or fired- from our jobs.  If one of us  responded with violence, it will not only get you suspended, it can land you in jail.  I'd file charges on the thug.

That's unfair and untrue, you have to have a criminal record sure but you deliberately left out the part about having to also have only mediocre football skills.

The first sentence I posted is a fact. The second sentence I posted is my opinion. Which part do you have a problem with?

Blount will still go to the NFL, he may not have the options he would have had with being drafted but he will sign as a Free Agent.
I still think the Boise St player should get something for starting the whole mess.

Maybe, but we do not know the back story to the asinine taunting.  It could have been an extension of the smack being dished on the field.

Should Boise do something about this? Probably.  What will Boise do?  Don't know.

I would only say Ha-Ha to the Ducks if they lose to Purdue, who really doesn't have alot of talent, plus a 1st year head coach.

I had a bunch of stuff typed but I will simply point out that BSU went from 14 to 12 in the ranking and the fDucks dropped completely off the radar.

Blount got what he deserved, stupid fuck should never play on our field again!

Blount was saying all that week before the game that Oregon owed them an ass whooping. So I guess the Boise St player went up to him and said "How's that for an ass whooping?"

They were both wrong in my opinion. Both should be punished. But Blount REALLY crossed the line when he started going after the fans.

This.  He could have gotten away with trash-talking or even throwing a sucker punch.

But the NCAA takes a very dim view of players threatening the paying customers.

Suspended running back LeGarrette Blount has been reinstated by the Oregon Ducks.
Blount will be available to play Saturday when Oregon hosts Arizona State.
Blount was suspended for punching Boise State defensive end Byron Hout in the aftermath of Oregon's season-opening loss to the Broncos. He was suspended for the season by Kelly the next day, but allowed to continue practicing with the team.
Kelly later announced that Blount could be reinstated if he met certain conditions.
"I'm grateful to Coach Kelly that he cares enough to offer me this second chance," Blount said. "Now it is up to me to prove to people that their lasting impressions of me are not what they saw in Boise.
"When I am ready to address this further with the public and the media, I will do so," Blount added. "Until that time, I feel my actions can speak louder than anything I could say. I just want to help my teammates who have been supportive of me."
Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

If they give him a second chance, I hope he makes the most of it and doesn't screw it up like so many other "second chances" that are handed out.

What a bunch of pussies, their team mate gets knocked the fuck out and they all stand around with an "oh snap he got da aidz" look on their faces.

As well as they've been running the ball without him, I wonder how many carries he's going to get.
