Found this nifty piece of software at My Digital Life. It's very good for laptops running off the battery. You can shutoff the monitor and bring it back by tapping the space bar. Doesn't put the computer to sleep. Occupies a small corner of the screen. Stays on top. It's a 32kb inky dinky .exe program. Neat simple software. I pinned it to the taskbar and the start menu.
