I have MS word. 2007 version. I would like to have an on going file on a usb drive.

Its kind of like a journal that would be updated every day. I don't want to leave it on the computer for security reasons.

I couldn't figure it out and Google just confused me more.

Its the student version. I tried the "save to" but it doesn't seem to have that feature.

You're looking for the "Save As" option.  If all else fails just save it to the C drive then cut and paste it to USB drive.

what a confusing question. when you go to save it, choose your USB drive as the location. Is there more to it than this?
