I've got two USB flash drives. Both are 2GB. One is a Lexar Firefly the other is made by Crucial.

Both are empty yet they are "full". The folder itself shows no files on them yet they are full to capacity.

?????

Any fix? or just trash them? I'm pretty sure the Lexar was one I tried to use to create a boot drive (attempt failed).

FIXED.

http://ezinearticles.com/?How-Do-You-Reformat-a-USB-Flash-Drive?&id=1973951

Using a Mac: Insert USB drive. Open "disc utility", select the USB drive on left side of menu and click "erase". There are prompts for what format you want (MS-DOS FAT is default) as well as if you want to rename the volume.

Very simple.

Good job figuring it out, I reformat usb drives often (I have a few distros of Linux I try out by loading onto usb drives)

In windows go to my computer, right-click the drive and select "Format..."

I also found out how to empty the "missing data" off a flash drive (Mac OS X). Empty the trash with the drive attached.
