Will the Windoze 7 beta work in a 17-18gb partition?  Is that enough space?

I'm just going to play on it for a couple of weeks until the big HD gets here.  No word processing or heavy lifting.

I tried running it as a virtual machine, I didn't care for it.

Thanks

I think that will be a bit tight.

I would buy a new cheap hdd to play with it.  HDD are really cheap and a 18gb partition might be a little tight

I've got ten gigs left on the partition.  Bigger HD is on it's way.  This HD will get put in a drawer for emergencies.
I'm not running a swapfile.  I have enough RAM so I don't need it.
I'm going after the hibernation file to see if I can get back that space too.

So far I like how it runs on the big monitor.  1600x1200.  The interface is different from Vista and options for the classic start menus are gone. Takes some getting used to.
I hope Microcrap brings the classic menus back in later editions.

It's spelled "Windows" and "Microsoft". Thanks.

18 gigs is plenty of space; I have it running in 8 on one machine.
