| I'm looking for an inexpensive printer that I want to use to print targets. I know I'll go through a lot of ink so in addition to purchase price, I'm looking for something that has inexpensive printer cartridges, or at least an economical way to refill them. Any suggestions? |

Gutenberg press and a can of black paint?

Ink cartridges are very expensive over time. They also dry out once opened even if not used. Very much like leaving a magic marker uncapped.
If you can live without color, I suggest that you go with a used Laser Jet. You can get a true business-class printer rated for 20,000 pages/month or more for $250 or so. The toner cartridges are somewhat expensive, but will last a very long time. I have had very good luck with www.printertechs.com I have no affiliation with the above company. I did buy a HP LaserJet 5 from them. I think we are on our 3rd toner cartridge and have run 10 or 15 cases (50,000 - 75,000 pages) of paper through it with no problems in the past 5 years. |
