Figured I'd ask all you smart people. I know a little about networking, but not much.

My mom has a Westell 327W Modem/Router. She moved and brought it to her new home where she got DSL from her new phone company. I went to set up a secured network, but it had kept the settings from her old house and she doesnt remember her passowrd/SSID. How can I reset the router back to factory to make it work?

Yeah, I tried that. It still kept the old settings. It needs like a master reset or something and I can't find anything in the online manual that mentions it.

the default username and password is
us=  admin
pw= password

Note: you may be prompt for user name and password on specific pages within the modem. The default user name is: admin; the default password is: password. However, with Verizon subscribers, if the above does not work, try entering your Verizon's user name and password.

if you don't know this contact your service providor

Try holding the reset button down for at least 10 seconds.

That should do it.

Usually you have to.

1.  Insert a paperclip into the little hole and depress the switch.
2.  Unplug the power from the router.
3.  Plug the power back in.
4.  Release the switch.

That should reset it back to factory default.
