Is there a free program out there somewhere that will allow me to take the music off of my IPOD and reverse load it into itunes on my new laptop? My old laptop ate shit and I can't do a computer to computer transfer.
All of the programs I have found are pay programs and I only need it once.

Any help is appreciated.

On a side topic.  Is the harddrive ok?  You can get a IDE to USB converter that allows your old laptop's hardrive to act like a USB drive.  I did this when my wife's laptop had a problem and I was able to pull off all the files.

IIRC it cost lest than $20 from NewwEgg.

I would suggest using winamp above all else. I have used ephpod before in the past but I still much prefer using Winamp whenever possible. I cannot f*cking stand iTunes or quicktime or any of the bloated, DRM management, sharing restrictions etc. that apple insists on including on all their software.

I use 3-4 ipod styple interfaces daily, and I rely stricly on the latest version of winamp along with the ml-ipod plugin (not needed i'm just used to how it works) for all the music transfer and audio management stuff on my computer.

Winamp will allow you to transfer music/videos/pictures/notes/etc. back and forth from your HD to an infinite amonut of .mp3 players without a problem. It will also allow you to rip music off your portable players and back onto a flash drive or HD (what your looking for I think) quickly and again without any DRM issues.

I absolutely hate all the restrictions, library creations, playlist usage and auto-sync crap that apple insists on including with iTunes and would never consider using anything other then winamp. Its much simpler, you can transfer what you like, how you like, where you like, with no worries.

wow, sounds like winamp has seriously evolved. I was going to suggest anapod explorer, but winamp sounds like 100% win
