Anyone have any experience with their Power Spec series? They are running a couple of decent machines on sale and my Gateway 550 that we bought in 98 or 99 is about to expire. I don't really want Vista but one on sale has "downgrade" rights to XP Pro that I'm running right now. It will be used for net surfing and some light gaming. Plan on keeping my existing monitor and keyboard. Prices run in the $250 to 400 range. The one I'm looking at has an Intel E2180 processor, 2 gig memory,160 gig hard drive,18x burner, and an Intel graphic card for $299. I could build one for that but I just don't have the time. I want to stay away from HP and Compaq because of all the crap they load on them. |
