I have an old laptop that died and I want to integrate the LCD monitor into my home theater. I have a video card that lets me run two monitors. How do I turn this old laptop montior into something that can be powered and plugged into my HTPC?

I'm by no means an expert on this. But remembering how those LCD's hook up, you'd need a power source and then a pin out chart to make a custom video cable. I've heard of it being done before, where people have put these into their cars.
