I've been using my Shuttle XPC while trying to fix the other PC and now my desktop is BLANK of icons.  They are in the proper desktop folder under the "documents and settings" folder so everything is still there and available.  However, even though my files are still there, nothing is on my desktop.  Has this ever happened to anyone else?  I've never had it happen.  My only idea is to rebuild the machine.  Slick the drive and start over.  Is this what you'd do?

right click where there isn't an icon on the desktop.   click arange icons by,   make sure show icons is checked
