What are the programs you would suggest to use to create a playable DVD from your .avi files and the like?  I have a friend who bought his twin daughters cameras and his mother wants to burn the short movies to disk.  I'd like your thoughts on this.  I do have Roxio 8, Adobe Premier 4.0, and a brand new Nero program I've neer used.  I have never tried to do this yet which is why I ask FIRST.  I've heard I could do this with the two programs I already have, but I'm looking for the most fool-proof program for someone with little pc tallent.  She's a nice lady wanting do have this done for her grand daughters, but she's not very pc familiar.  I've cloned disks and created DVD data disks, but that is the extent of my experience.  Again, thought I'd ask the experts before diving in.

AVS video converter is pretty good. Lots of choices to convert from one file to another. Windows movie maker is basic but if thats all you need then it would be a good choice. You can create menus and chapters at the beginning of the DVD.
