so, my wife just bought me this: NetGear RangeMax

how do i go about setting my house up for wireless?  any specific spot in the house?

i plan on keeping the desktop hard wired.  it is mainly for our laptop.

plug your cable or dsl modem in the (internet)  or WAN port(on the netgear).   plug your PC into port one.    Run the cd provided with the router.     you should be good to go

are the other PCs wifi ready?
if they are the router should set up everything on its own...i have a Dlink gigabit router and it was pretty much self set up...........and it works well with everything that we have in the house like the xbox 360,the Wii, my laptop and nintendo ds

set it up this morning before i went to bed.  20 to 30 minutes.  a lot easier than i thought.
