I like to use a online proxy when surfing. I was wondering when i come to a captcha, you know those verification things, how do i see the picture. I am not the best with computers, but i was wondering if there is a online proxy that sees the image so i can type it in? What is the easiest way to see the image, it makes it a pain to surf. Thanks for the help hive.

Thanks

I dont use online proxy for surfing so I do not know.  I will start using it when I feel that my privacy is being compromised....Im sure there will come a day.  But then it would probably take a different kind of technology other than a proxy to keep anonymous.

Sorry I couldnt help

ETA: maybe give a link to a page as an example and I could do some testing?

Has anyone taken a look at the Firefox add on proxy?   Just wondering what it does or doesn't do.

I use Firefox and Tor coupled with Privoxy for browsing, and images show up just fine for me.
The docs on the tor site, tor.eff.org, are excellent, but if you have any questions or need any help send me an IM and I'd be glad to help.

Ok, google CGI Proxy.

The first one I landed on showed the image:

https://www.xroxy.com/cgiproxy.htm

It is a slow loading proxy, but it worked.

Also, if you are trying to bypass a filter at work/school and you have a connection at home, you might want to try SSHing into your home connection to bypass the filter so you dont have to use proxies.

Or consider using Torr on a thumb drive.  But last time I used Torr it was like I was on a 56K connection- probably because of all of the re-routing that it does.

I use Tor daily on my laptop when I'm at school, and it's about as fast as a slow DSL connection. Some pages take a while to load (depending on which exit node you're using) but for the most part the speeds are acceptable. It's not a bad trade off for the level of privacy it offers.

That's why you don't send login detail over an unencrypted protocol. You can't fix stupid.
Whether you're using tor or not, if the information you're sending is unencrypted, it can be intercepted.

I mainly use it because when I'm connected to the wireless at school, anybody with a laptop can monitor the network and see what sites are being visited. Not to mention I've heard of a lot of people who have had their mac address banned for visiting gun sites or other things the college doesn't like. I doubt my school really cares enough to monitor the network, but just in case.

Firefox, Tor, and Privoxy works great for me.  So what kind of pictures are these?

He said it's the registration verification picture on websites. They usually don't work so well through CGI proxies.

I tried this one, it worked once and then it was asking for me to buy it. Anyone else out there recommend a free one that can read (see) the verification code at the bottom, for blogs and forums, etc. I was hoping to just find a online proxy so i could use it from multiple computers at any time, I am not a elite haxor by any means, and this seemed like a easy may to go.

Thanks for you replies and help.

I don't know, but I did give them tips for mac spoofing.
