I have a mp3 file on my computer that I'd like to use as a ringtone on my cell.
First, does it have to be converted to some other format? And how do I go about transferring it to the phone?
Thanks!

Depends on what kind of phone you have.
If it is a smart phone, then most likely you can use the MP3 format.

I have no idea if it's a smart phone...it's a US Cellular Samsung. I'll give US Cellular a call.
Thanks.

you will probably need to connect it to your PC using a mini-usb to standard usb cable, and then use some software specifically for your computer to move the file between PC-phone. Actually, you could also use this freeware program called Pzkcommander.

I got it to work by simply e-mailing my phone with the mp3 file as an attachement. Saved the file, then selected it as a ringer.
