I have a new(5 day old) Toshiba 215-4747 laptop. This is the second unit I've gotten w/ this problem. Porblem: Both units have an intermittent fault, where by the screen goes black. Both units are running, but have no monitor/screen. 1st unit had all upgrades installed and blotware uninstalled, with no change to condition. The only downloads installed were Itunes and AIM IM. 2nd unit: Had nothing upgraded/uninstalled at all. Only Itunes was downloaded. With this unit the 1st occurance happened after the Itunes install. Geeks @ Best buy have seen this problem, but Toshiba has no info.?? I do not think the unit is over heating. The cooling fan has been allowed to "breathe", so I dont think this is the problem. What could be the problem? Oh, Vista is the OS...yea, yea I know, It SUxx.
