I am unable to run steam games right now because they consistently freeze with differently every time. Sometimes I get error messages, others just frozen screen, sometimes repeating sounds and frozen screen. I also am having problems with battlefield 2. Sometimes textures do not load and I get a silver blob instead of a weapon or the ground texture doesn't load and it's a big black screen. Secondly, when I exit either game, my screen does not want to change resolutions back to my standard desktop resolution. Often times when I try to set in back manually, I have to restart my pc for the settings to take effect. Third, after I exit BF2 or HL2, I have to restart my computer to start those programs again. They will not run again after the initial go. I have an amd64 dualcore processor, asus mobo, sapphire x1600xt gpu, and 1 gig ram. All of my drivers are updated, including drivers for my monitor from viewsonic. Any takers? |
