My HP AMD 64 is just about 11 months old, and I'm running Windows XP Media Center. Every mornign I have to go through about 3-4 re-boots. Damn thing just freezes up after 3-4 minutes of use. After re-booting a number of times, it;s fine for hte rest of the day. Am I just screwed with this becasue of the OS, or are there prescribed things I can to to try and eliminate the system freezes? I've tried a few different things, but keep coming up frozen. Thanks. |

turn the computer on. press the f8 key repeatedly untill it give you the safe mode menu.... select safe mode. (it will take alot longer to boot into this mode) and see if it locks up here. if it does you most likely have a hardware problem. if it doesn't it could be virus's or other windoz issues.. just something to try |
