I used the raid disk I got with my DFI mobo but once I created the RAID 0 array windows couldnt see the array. I downloaded the latest drivers from SI's site but when I try to install the controller, windows setup says that it cant find the SI3114r.sys file. When I take a look at the floppy, the file is there. I replaced the new driver files with my old driver files but windows setup told me that the text.oem file was corrupt. I am trying to install Windows Server 2003 32bit. I have a DFI RDX200 mobo. |

copy the files to the floppy exactly as they are extracted if the cd creates the floppy disk. you could have a bad floppy disk, or disk drive edit: im not even seeing the rdx under the drivers section ![]() another reason we stopped selling dfi 3 years ago edit found it |

Thats what I do but when it comes time to install windows, windows cant see shit. I installed this server 2003 on a single drive, I deleted the array because I was tired of trying to get it to work. I will reformat the floppy again and try to install the OS on RAID but I hope that when i create the array it doesnt delete this install. If it works I'll reformat and start all over. PS: Where do you work? |

Ok I download the latest driver from Silicon Image, www.siliconimage.com/support/supportsearchresults.aspx?pid=28&cid=3&ctid=2&osid=4& for my Windows Server 2003 x86 w/Service pack 2 BETA. I used the raid utility in the bios to create a RAID 0 array with cluster sizes of 16k for both raptors. I hit F6 when prompted and windows installed the driver correctly but when it came time to install the OS, windows couldnt find the array. WTF. |

yes I did but I saw something odd. I remembered that when I download the OS I downloaded the x86 edition but when I installed BF2 (which wont work), it told me that it had only been tested on 32 bit systems. I took a look at my computer and there is only one program files folder which suggests that I am running a 32 bit system. So why would BF2 give me that warning? |

It's EA, don't worry about it. There should be two files you load from the Floppy.... damn I forget now but there are actually two you have to load. Just load both of them and you should be good to go, there should even be a little blurb next to them "required" Do not load the Silicon RAID drivers, use the Nvidia ones. This is assuming your running a DFI board with an NF chipset. |
