I have a bunch Iron Maiden CDs that have "CD Extra"/"CD Plus" software on them for the multi media experience (which I could care less about).
I just want to play the music on Real PLayer (I know, I know..It's what I'm sticking to) and I cannot.
Of course the makers want me to download Quick Time. I don't want it.
What can I do?I've never even heard of CD Plus and cannot Google an answer.
Help.

ETA: Of course it's from Sony......f*ckin Sony again. here

I suggest you get some software to rip the songs, like AudioGrabber, etc., and make a copy cd without the added software. Personally, I'm sick of the extra shit always turning on when all I want is to listen to the music. The cds work fine in a non-computer cd player, but the second you put it in the computer all kinds of shit starts happening and it is worse than an annoyance.

Thing is, if I wanted to rip songs, I've got vinyl. I just want my new f*cking CD's to play while I surf.
I've got everything by Cheap Trick on vinyl too...
What the hell happened to just listening to music?

I don't know what happened to the "good old days" of just having music.

Cheap Trick has a new cd out, and it sounds like Mutt Lang ruined it. Even though Mutt didn't work on it, the whole project sounds over produced and over worked. I'm not impressed with it, but then again, nearly every person that likes Cheap Trick has the same complaint about the last two releases. Now, if they would finish the Steve Albini produced re-release of In Color and actually put it on the market, THAT would sell!

That cd extra has two session.  1st is the music, 2nd is the data with the foo foo.

By default windows will read the last session on the cd with is the foo-foo.

Maybe turn off auto-run, or rip the audio tracks off of session 1 to harddrive/burn a new CD?
