Chances are very good that the solvents in the paint are going to damage the CD. Even if you used (water-based) safe paints, I'd be very concerned that it would flake off in the CD player. A better solution would be to buy CD label kits and print them in an inkjet printer with whatever pattern you want. Jim |

thats what I was worried about is that it would mess the CD player up but do you think a coat of Spray on Poly urthane coating like used for wood would seal it and make it safe?

It may keep the paint on the disc in an audio CD player, but the paint is still probably going to kill the CD itself. The solvents in the paint will do a number on the plastic, the dye, the metal layer, or some combination of the three. Jim |
