I have an emac with a cable modem and a router for my Vonage phone.  Question is what's the cheapest and easiest way to get a wireless signal going in my home?  Can I just buy one of those $39 g linksys routers and swap it out wit hmine or what?  Any input would be greatly appreciated!

wireless isn't the cheapest but its the most convient(sp)   yes a linksys wrt54g will do the job.  but does your mac have a wireless card built into it.  if not you will  have to order a mac wireless network card.

then in a nutshell you plug the cable going from the cable modem to the wan port on the wireless router, possible plugin some numbers provided from your isp.  and the internet will work.   then you need to setup encryption.   thats a whole different ball game.   read the manual to set that up

I'm not trying to run my emac wirelessly, actually.  I would hardwire that into the router.  What I am really wondering is if I can plug my phone line (for my vonage service) into a wireless router, or is there some way I can just add a wireless router to my existing vonage-supplied router to add wireless capability (for Sony PSP and laptop web access).  Thanks for your help.

You can add a wireless access point to your Vonage router. I believe that Vonage uses Linksys stuff... anyhow, you can add this to it. Access Point

That will give you wireless ability in your house.
