Just bought a Mustek $100 3.0 megapixel camera. It will be fine for what I want to use it for, however, the pictures are huge when loaded onto my computer and when I email them, the pictures are huge. Any way I can shrink these pics down before emailing them off? Thanks. vmax84 |
| You'll need to crop and resize them with a program like PaintShop Pro or Adobe Effects. There are plenty of try before you buy ones and even some good free ones. I'll typically take my pictures and resize them to 600x800 at 72 dpi and then use a good strong compression on them using the same program to save them as a .jpg. You can save the same size picture at high quality and it will be over a megabyte large or with low quality (highly compressed) and the thing will be 50 kilobytes in size. The difference really isn't noticed too much sending snap shots to grandpa. |
