When I first got my new computer and I right clicked on a pic, I could save it as a .jpg Now whenever I do that my only options are .art and .bmp The image shows up wherever I have saved it, but I am unable to open it, I get the dreded red x Is there something that I have done to my puter to make it do this? |

I've had the same problem, and nothing that I've tried fixes it, and I've gone to several computer help boards; nobody can figure it out. Must be an MS thing, I dunno... When you save a picture, you have to type in the ".bmp", ".art" or whatever after the file name in the top window, plus make sure that the file type shown below it matches that. Try that, and you'll be able to see 'em. After THAT, right-click the file, and open with "paint". Once you've done THAT, under the file menu, choose "save as" and you can save it as a .jpg image, then delete the "original". Thanks microsoft, you assholes. |
