I have Norton on one computer and McAfee on another and was curious as to how long eveyone else's took to scan. My brother say his Norton scans in like 12 minutes...where my Norton takes 1 hour 15 minutes to scan. Can anyone else shed light on the situation? Thanks in advance! BigDozer66 |

He probably is doing a thorough scan of all files. It just depends on the user defined settings. You can set up the software to scan every file, or set it up to scan files that are usually suspected in harboring viruses. You will have to check your settings to see, but since your scan is long, I would suspect yours is set to the maximum. Nothing wrong with that. |
