I am tired of my POS QNAP nas. I have to restart it anytime I want to connect to it.

I have decided to add a small 4 U wall mounted server cabinet but due to the size differences with the cabinets and the racks, I want to get the server case first.

Case only. I saw some 2U cases on Newegg for $75ish but their sizes were different.

I have the ITX-G2250-BK because my rack is only ~12" deep. The case is super tight. I would highly recommend buying the hot swap modules with a fan that go in the 5.25" bays. The internal mounts for hard drives pretty much get zero airflow from the single fan. Also, if you install something in the 5.25" bays, you can no longer use the internal 2.5" drive mounts.

I use this 1.5U server case for my DIY PC rack builds now. It takes SFX PSUs which is the only downside - but Silverstone makes really great SFX power supplies from 300-800w and they are priced nicely as well, and have PFC and are 80 plus certified.

I'm using three of these 1.5U cases right now for NAS/Pfsense/cameras and they are all awesome.

I need to add that I am looking for a 2u server case that will use ATX power supplies, mATX motherboards, and at least 2 3.5 drives.

I will have 4 3.5 drives..I will use the space for the 5.25 drive for the 3.5 drives.

My 2Us are SuperMicro... They do use proprietary (and cheap) power supplies though.
